WHAT'S IN A NAME?? When he came to us, he was named "Buster," but it just never quite fit - he just didn't seem all that keen on it, and mostly ignored us when calling him. After several days of "intense fellowship" amongst our household, we all have settled on a new name...BOWIE, named after David Bowie. (and to be fair, he DOES kinda resemble the Goblin King from "Labyrinth," does he not??) This continues our trend of naming pets after musicians (Elwood was named after Elwood Blues of the Blues Brothers, based in part on his fur color and pattern resembling a black suit and sunglasses. How do YOU come up with your pets' names? Is it based on appearance? Do you go through a list and pick the one you like most? Do you like common pet names? What about HUMAN names for pets? Meet our newest family member and travel companion, "Buster"! 🐾 After Elwood's passing, we did not expect to bring another dog into our lives right away, but Emily came across a posting from @clancys.dream for Buster that just grabbed us. We reached out, and yesterday, we made the trip to meet Buster, and ultimately bring him with us to his new forever home. And yes, he handled the nearly 2-hour trip just fine! Welcome to the family, Buster! We can't wait to bring you along with our next adventures! 🐶 🚙 P.S. As we headed out with Buster on our way home, we passed a shopping center in town, and Alec pointed out that in that shopping center was "Elwood Staffing." We had to smile - it was like Elwood's way of saying he hand-picked Buster to take over his job 🥰
