ON THIS DAY, 18 years ago….we got ENGAGED! To call it a whirlwind would be putting it lightly - we met for the first time on August 28th, and if you ask Kyle (or even if you don’t), he’ll tell you he knew that very day that we were going to get married. He didn’t waste any time, either - Emily’s dad was quite shocked when this relative stranger asked to marry his daughter after just a few weeks 🤔 Kyle went for broke and gave a VERY public proposal at a concert. His reasoning seemed to work - the band later told him no one had ever said “No” under those circumstances (and Emily kept that particular record intact 🥰). All these years later, we’re still saying “Yes” to each other 😘 (And for the record, Emily’s Dad DID give his blessing…eventually 😉)

What’s your UNPOPULAR OPINION when it comes to traveling?? We’ll go first - Buc-Ee’s is overrated. The bathrooms are impressive, and their jerky isn’t bad, but EVERY time we stop at one (at ANY time of the day or night), it’s overly-crowded, loud, usually has a long line to check out, and rarely has space for an RV rig. We’ll do a truck stop if we have the choice.
